25 Years - Birthday Weekend

Japanse Tuin; 1992

On November 20, 1992, the Japanese Garden opened its doors to the first visitors. Do you remember? Were you there? Whatever the answer to these questions is, it will be a wonderful celebration.

On Saturday and Sunday (November 18 and 19), the Garden will be opened from 10h-17h.  Monday November 20th (the Japanese Garden's birthday) the Garden can be admired in an evening-atmosphere from 17h to 22h.

The focus of this weekend is on the Garden itself. The following activities are planned:

  • Photo Exhibition that tells the story of the Japanese Garden from its building to the present. Location: new glass pavilion in the cherry blossom park
  • Birthday Photobooth with Japanese accessories. Location: front room of the ceremonial house at the pond.
  • Eating and drinking stands
  • MONDAY EVENING: pleasant lighting and a fresh handmade dorayaki-cake for the first 200 visitors (that are two pancakes with anko-filling - sweet bean paste - in between)

After this, the Garden will return into hibernation. We love to welcome you back for our new season, opening on Saturday March 24, 2018!
