Bicycle parking with supervision
Community guards keep an eye out for your bicycle at several spots in the city centre (for free)
- At Groenplein (behind the town hall): 10 am – 6 pm (Mon to Sat)
- Capucienenplein (TT quarter): 10 am – 6 pm (Mon to Sat)
Good to know
- At Groenplein you can use a bicycle pump free of charge.
- Public toilets are available at Groenplein and Capucienenplein.
Borrow or rent a bicycle
Are you coming to Hasselt by train? Ride into town with one of the Blue-Bike bicycles. You can borrow one with your badge from the key machine at any time of the day. You pay 1.15 euros for the first 24 hours. Return the bicycle to the station station after use.
Rent a bicycle at the station through Fietspunt Hasselt for a day, a month or a year. You can choose from different bicycles: (electric) bicycles, tandems, children’s bicycles, child seats, trail-a-bikes, cargo bikes and bicycles for persons with disabilities. Do you have any questions about availability and pricing?
At Groenplein (behind the old town hall) & at Boudewijnlaan you can borrow a bike free of charge. You can use it all day for free. At least if you return it before 5.30 pm. However, you cannot book.
