Free parking in Hasselt city centre
Free parking in paid parking spaces for 30 minutes. Select ‘gratis ticketje’ (free ticket) at the parking pay terminal. Place the ticket in a visible location in your car. Fee for long-term parking between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. The first hour costs 1 euro, the second hour 2 euros, and 3 euros per hour from the third hour. Maximum daily parking time limit is 10 hours. Free parking on Sundays, legal holidays, and 11 July.
Free parking between the large and small ring road around Hasselt with blue parking disk.
The blue parking disk must be placed visibly in your windshield. Paid parking if there are parking ticket machines on the street. The blue parking disk is required between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., except on Sundays and legal holidays (including 11 July). Maximum of two hours of parking with a parking disk. Otherwise, you could be fined 25 euros per day.
Free parking with a disabled parking pass
Place your valid disabled parking pass visibly in your windshield and park at any parking spot in Hasselt. Parking is free, with the exception of the underground car parks not operated by the City of Hasselt.
